Goal
  • Engage in dialogue on how environmental public health indicators (EPHI) fit within EPA’s research priorities in promoting a healthy and sustainable community
  • Understand the importance of research as a tool for informing public policy
Outcomes
  1. Assess the state of the science and identify key research data gaps
  2. Present findings from EPA’s EPHI grants:
    1. Linking public health indicators with health outcomes
    2. Identifying innovative methodologies
    3. Impacting policy
  3. Discuss how to translate and communicate research findings effectively to the general public, policy makers and other key stakeholders, and to have a positive impact on human health and policy
